Khaberni - Egyptian artist Khaled El Nabawy urgently intervened to resolve the crisis of the esteemed artist Sami Abdel Halim, who is undergoing critical health conditions that forced him to enter the intensive care unit in one of the government hospitals in Cairo, in a gesture described as "humane, embodying the meanings of loyalty between the teacher and his student."
Sources close to the star Khaled El Nabawy revealed that he decided to cover all the treatment expenses of Dr. Sami Abdel Halim, in appreciation of the close relationship between them, as Abdel Halim is his first teacher at the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts and one of the most prominent supporters of him in his early artistic career.
According to sources, Nabawy made sure to visit his teacher in the hospital, met with the medical team treating him to check on the developments of his condition, emphasizing the necessity to provide all the necessary medical care and conduct the required examinations at his own expense.
The esteemed artist Sami Abdel Halim suffers from the effects of a stroke in the brain, which led to complete impairment in speech and movement and some vital functions, making him in dire need of an intensive treatment protocol that includes physical rehabilitation sessions, especially with his suffering from diabetes complications.
A cry for help was launched through social media platforms by people close to the esteemed artist, pleading with the relevant authorities to intervene to save "the teacher of generations" and a symbol of scenography and Egyptian theatre, who has trained many great artistic talents.
It is worth mentioning that Dr. Sami Abdel Halim is considered one of the pillars of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts, where he started his career in the seventies and emerged as a professor specialized in theatrical decor.
He contributed with his creative touches to theatrical performances in Egypt, Jordan, and the UAE, and participated in acting in timeless dramas such as the series "Umm Kulthum", the play "The Joker", and the movie "Halim". He also played a prominent role in founding the branch of the Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts in Alexandria.
