Khaberni - The Abu Dhabi Judiciary, through the Civil Family Court, has achieved a record performance since the beginning of the current year 2026, having registered 8,886 transactions for civil marriages and civil wills during the period from the beginning of January until March 25th of the past year, which proves the exceptional leadership that has established Abu Dhabi's capital as a global destination for foreigners seeking to benefit from a civil legislative environment that guarantees family and financial rights according to the highest international standards.
Statistics from the Abu Dhabi Civil Family Court show that 4,320 civil marriage contracts for foreigners have been documented, along with 4,566 civil wills issued during the same period, reflecting the direct and sustainable impact brought about by the civil marriage law and its effects in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi Law No. 14 of 2021, harmonizing the building of family ties with a growing orientation towards guaranteeing legal protection for assets and properties under a legislative umbrella that applies the best legal frameworks to enhance family and financial stability.
During the brief period from February 28 to March 25, 2026, the court witnessed exceptional activity reflecting a rapid work pace, with 2,614 transactions documented in less than a month, comprising 934 new civil marriage contracts and 1,680 civil wills, confirming the efficiency of judicial services and digital systems in accommodating the increasing flow of requests and ensuring accuracy and speedy execution.
The figures for "civil marriage," which exceeded 4,300 contracts in less than three months, reveal the increasing interest from foreigners, both residents and visitors of various nationalities, in these quality services, preferring to complete marriage ceremonies in Abu Dhabi, benefiting from the ease of procedures and smooth transaction completion, based on a civil judicial system that combines legislative development and established legal reliability.
Concurrently, the growth in documenting "civil wills," reaching 4,566 wills by the end of March, reflects the effectiveness of the judicial system that grants foreigners, including investors and resident families, full freedom in managing their properties and securing their transfer to their relatives according to civil principles through facilitated procedures.
