Wall Street Journal The Revolutionary Guard keeps most of its military boats

Khaberni - The "Wall Street Journal" reported that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard still retains most of its fleet of small military boats.

The newspaper pointed out that more than 60% of the fast attack boats are still in service, enhancing Tehran's ability to assert control over the Strait of Hormuz.

This comes at a time when US President Donald Trump announced the start of the implementation of a maritime blockade with the participation of the United States and other countries, in a move aimed at undermining Iranian influence in vital maritime passages, amid escalating tensions between the two sides.

Trump has called on Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, alongside his assertion that the U.S. forces "completely destroyed the Iranian navy."

However, this American narrative is met with skepticism from both Western and Iranian sources, as reports, including those published by the Wall Street Journal, indicate that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard still retains a significant portion of its naval capabilities, especially the fast attack boats used in deployment and control operations in the strait. Tehran also affirms that its naval infrastructure has not been subjected to total destruction.
