Khaberni - The controversial American singer Britney Spears has entered a drug rehabilitation center, this following weeks after her arrest on charges of driving under the influence of alcohol in California.
A spokesperson for her confirmed to the "Page Six" section of the "New York Post" that she voluntarily decided to join a treatment facility, a step that came after her arrest in Ventura City, where she is scheduled to appear in court on May 4th.
According to close sources, the arrest marked a turning point for Spears (44 years old), who appeared in a difficult psychological state, being described as deeply affected, feeling ashamed and embarrassed, expressing regret over the incident, especially after months described as challenging.
The details of the incident date back to March 4th, when she was stopped by the police after they noticed her swerving between lanes while driving, where an unknown substance was found inside her car, and it is believed that she was under the influence of a mixture of alcohol and drugs. She was released the next morning.
The case is still under review by the District Attorney's office in Ventura County, in preparation for the necessary legal actions.
In her first response, Spears posted on her "Instagram" account videos with her son Jayden, thanking her followers for their support, and emphasizing the importance of spending time with family.
