Israeli Ministerial Council MiniMeeting After Trump Announces Hormuz Blockade

Khaberni - The Israeli Ministerial Council "Cabinet" meets this evening, Sunday, following the announcement by President Donald Trump imposing a naval blockade on Iran in the Strait of Hormuz.

Israeli Channel 12 reported that "after the announcement by Trump, the Israeli Ministerial Security Council was summoned for a session this evening".

Trump announced that the United States would begin imposing a naval blockade on the Strait of Hormuz as a response to Iran's stance on its nuclear program, within the context of peace talks held in Islamabad on Saturday.

Trump stated via his Truth Social platform that the talks were "good," and "most points were agreed upon" during them, but Tehran refused to make concessions on its program.

He added, "The U.S. Navy, the best in the world, will immediately begin preventing all ships from entering or leaving the Strait of Hormuz".

Reports indicated that the Chief of Staff of the Israeli Army, Eyal Zamir, issued instructions for the forces to move to "immediate readiness," in light of the stalled diplomatic path between Washington and Tehran.
