30 People Killed in Stampede at Popular Tourist Site in Haiti

Khaberni  - Haitian media reports state that at least 30 people died in a stampede at a popular tourist site in Haiti on Saturday.

A large crowd gathered at the Laferrière Fortress in the northern town of Milot on Saturday, according to the newspaper "Le Nouvelliste".

The fortress, dating back to the 19th century, is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a popular tourist destination in the north of the country, located in the Caribbean region.

The fortress was built by former slaves and is considered a symbol of Haiti's struggle for freedom against French colonial rule.
