Khaberni - The Saudi Ministry of Energy announced today, Sunday, its success in restoring full pumping capacity through the East–West pipeline, after being affected by the American-Israeli war on Iran, confirming the return of operational capacity to about 7 million barrels per day.
The ministry explained in a statement that technical and operational efforts also resulted in the restoration of the full capacity of the Manifa field, approximately 300,000 barrels per day, in a short period.
Some of the energy system facilities in the Kingdom were damaged, resulting in the loss of about 700,000 barrels per day of pumping capacity through the East–West line, in addition to a decline in the production of the Manifa field by about 300,000 barrels per day, and the Khurais field by about 300,000 barrels per day.
Regarding the Khurais field, the ministry indicated that efforts are still ongoing to restore its full production capacity, and an announcement will be made as soon as this is completed.
Operational Flexibility and Confidence in the Supplies
The ministry confirmed that this rapid recovery reflects the operational flexibility and high efficiency of Saudi Aramco in managing crises, which enhances the reliability of supplies and their continuity for local and global markets.
This development comes at a time when global energy markets are experiencing sharp disturbances, making the restoration of Saudi supplies an important element in supporting the stability of markets and the global economy.
