For the 15th consecutive year Zain continues to support the AlAman Fund for the Future of Orphans

Khaberni  -  Believing that youth and education form the fundamental pillar for a prosperous future, and as part of its ongoing efforts to serve the community, Zain Jordan for the fifteenth consecutive year has renewed the memorandum of understanding with the Al-Aman Fund for the Future of Orphans - one of the institutions of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah - allowing the company to continue offering university scholarships to orphaned youth beneficiaries of the fund and enabling them to build a successful and more stable future. This extends a two-decade-long journey of safety since the fund's establishment in 2006, which solidified a sustainable model in empowering orphaned youth, enhancing their self-reliance, and achieving their economic and social independence confidently.

Zain's continuous support for the Al-Aman Fund underscores Zain’s strategic approach to sustainable human investment, reflecting its commitment to implementing the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4 "Quality Education" and Goal 17 "Partnerships for the Goals". It focuses on empowering orphaned youth and upholding the principle of educational opportunity equality by providing access to quality education that meets future demands and ensures improved living conditions and a dignified life for them, affirming the company's commitment to making a sustainable social and economic impact through equipping youth for effective community integration and building a more stable and independent future.

This year, Zain will offer educational scholarships to 15 young men and women, with 40% being male and 60% female, reaching a total of 170 university scholarships provided since 2011. The areas of study for those benefiting from Zain's scholarships include diverse and in-demand fields such as medicine, dentistry, engineering, sciences, and technology, with an employment rate of 65% for these graduates to date, underscoring the impact of these educational grants in empowering youth and enhancing their job market opportunities.

It should be noted that Zain is committed to supporting the education sector through numerous initiatives and programs. Recently, the company provided support worth three million Jordanian dinars to establish a Wi-Fi network in 1500 public schools and continues to partner with the Vocational Training Corporation for 19 years offering free training courses in specialties such as maintenance of electronic game devices and cell phone devices, and training in fiber optic technology, facilitating youth entry into the job market. Additionally, the company has supported the Amal Training Institute for nine years by providing internet services to enhance access to educational materials and ease communication among teams and beneficiaries, in addition to supporting innovation in digital education methods. To date, the total number of beneficiaries from the support provided has reached 4222 individuals, divided into about 3488 female beneficiaries and 732 male beneficiaries. The company, through its partnership with the LOYAC foundation, undertakes the restoration and refurbishment of schools in remote areas, totaling seven schools.
