Khaberni - Jordan condemned, on Sunday, the raid by the extremist Israeli minister Itamar Ben-Gvir on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque/the Noble Sanctuary under the protection of the occupation police; considering it a blatant violation of the historic and legal status of the Noble Sanctuary, a desecration of its sanctity, and a condemnable escalation and unacceptable provocation.
The official spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Ambassador Fuad Al-Majali, confirmed the Kingdom's absolute rejection and strong condemnation of the continued raids by the extremist minister, facilitated by the Israeli occupation police in the ongoing raids on the Al-Aqsa Mosque/the Noble Sanctuary, considering it a provocative and incendiary act aimed at imposing new facts in the Al-Aqsa Mosque through attempts to divide it temporally and spatially.
Al-Majali warned of the consequences of continuing these provocative violations against Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem, emphasizing that Israel has no sovereignty over the occupied city of Jerusalem and its Islamic and Christian holy sites.
He called on the international community to take a firm stance that obliges Israel as the occupying power to stop its ongoing violations towards the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem and all provocative practices of the extremist minister, which are a continuation of the Israeli government's extremist policy aimed at continuing dangerous escalation, and stop unilateral actions in the occupied West Bank.
Al-Majali reiterated the confirmation that the entire area of the Al-Aqsa Mosque, spanning 144 dunams, is a purely Muslim place of worship, and that the Administration of Jerusalem Endowments and Al-Aqsa Mosque Affairs, under the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places in Jordan, is the legal authority exclusively responsible for managing the affairs of Al-Aqsa Mosque/the Noble Sanctuary and organizing entry to it.
