Kia Wins the Title of Best Manufacturer at the 2026 TopGearcom Electric Car Awards

Khaberni - Kia was crowned "Best Manufacturer" at the 2026 TopGear.com Electric Car Awards.
These awards are now in their seventh year, annually celebrating the best electric cars available for sale in the United Kingdom, and highlighting manufacturers leading the transition towards electric vehicles. This new honor for Kia follows additional success in the BBC TopGear.com Awards, where the Kia PV5 passenger model clinched the "Family Car of the Year for 2026" title.
Ollie Kew, the Deputy Editor at TopGear.com, said: "Whether you drive the EV3 or the hefty EV9, the streamlined EV6, or the PV5 model, there’s a clear common trait among Kia's electric cars, akin to a consistent mark across all models. They offer a reliable driving range, smooth and straightforward performance, and a high level of comfort…Along with the boldness to expand their electric range, starting from the base model Kia EV2 to the high-performance SUV in the form of EV9 GT."
Minsu Kim, the Executive Vice President and Head of Global Brand and Customer Experience at Kia, stated: "We are honored that Kia has been chosen as the Best Manufacturer by TopGear.com in its 2026 awards. This recognition reflects the trust in Kia's electric cars and embodies the commitment of our global teams who continue to push the boundaries of innovation in design, engineering, and customer experience. This collective effort enables us to offer a diverse and appealing range of electric vehicles to our customers, while continuing to progress towards our vision for sustainable mobility."

The path towards the transition to electric vehicles
Kia continues to rapidly expand its portfolio of electric vehicle models, currently including the EV3, EV4, EV5, EV6, EV9, along with PV5.
Kia's EV2 model represents the next step in the brand's Plan S strategy, which started with the launch of the EV6 in 2021. As the smallest and most affordably priced model in Kia’s lineup to date, the EV2 has been designed, developed, and manufactured in Europe, with a clear focus on meeting the needs of customers across the region.
The delivery of the first EV2 cars to customers has already begun, and Kia plans to release GT versions of the EV3, EV4, and EV5 models at a later stage.
