Khaberni - While "Samsung" Korea competes with giant companies such as Google and Apple in the field of consumer electronics, especially phones, it is its subsidiary specialized in displays that makes all this possible.
Regarding displays, both Apple and Google rely on Samsung to manufacture their screen technologies, and if the initial leaks are correct, this situation will continue this year.
"Samsung" is working on developing its latest advanced M16 OLED screens, which will be used in both the Pixel 11 series from "Google" and the iPhone 18 Pro models from "Apple", according to South Korean electronic newspaper "ETNews".
This new technology will be launched in the flagship phones of competitors even before it appears in Samsung's own devices, according to a report from "Android Authority" about the newspaper.
According to the release schedule, M16 OLED screens will first be used in the Pixel 11 series in August 2026, then in the iPhone 18 Pro models in September, and possibly after that they will reach the Galaxy S27 series in January or February next year.
According to the report, these screens are believed to offer the best performance in terms of brightness, colors, lifespan, and energy consumption efficiency.
For comparison, iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max, and all iPhone 17 series models from last year, used M14 screens from "Samsung". The same applies to the Pixel 19 phone series.
For the average user, transitioning to M16 screens will be more of a gradual upgrade rather than a radical change in screen quality, as technologies like M14 screens already offer very high specifications in terms of color accuracy and brightness.
The most prominent feature is energy consumption efficiency. Lower energy consumption will enable the upcoming Pixel 11 series to direct more power towards other features, including AI technologies based on the Tensor processor.
