Khaberni - The cinema exhibition halls, during the last Eid al-Fitr season, witnessed a fierce competition among several films at the box office. These included: "Pill" starring Hisham Majed and Reham Abdel Ghafour, "The Serial Killer of the Gathering" starring Ahmed El Fishawy, "EgyBest" starring Ahmed Malek and Salma Abu Deif, and "Family Business" starring Mohammed Saad.
Although "Family Business", being the only film in the lineup relying on the name of a star with a background in comedy whose previous films had achieved high revenues, it ended up disappointing its makers and star Mohammed Saad with massive shock as it lagged at the box office from the first day of its showing. Despite "The Serial Killer of the Gathering" being removed from cinemas for a complete week, it managed to rise significantly and surpassed Mohammed Saad's film, marking a considerable difference between them.
Mohammed Saad's film is threatened to be pulled from cinemas
Due to the declining revenues of "Family Business", it is now threatened to be pulled from cinemas shortly after its release, not even completing its third week. This marks the first time a film starring Mohammed Saad is pulled from exhibition.
Initially, the film was titled "Diab's Family at the Door", but the production company surprised the audience by changing the name to "Family Business" without revealing any details about it or the reasons for the change. Instead, it surrounded the film with complete secrecy, only showing Mohammed Saad on the film's poster as he turns his back to the camera looking at the film's name with the word "soon" beneath it.
Mohammed Saad co-stars in the film with: Ghada Adel, Heidy Karam, Donia Sami, Salwa Mohammed Ali, Ahmed El Rafei, and other artists.
