Khaberni - The second session of the Supreme Coordination Council between Jordan and Syria at the ministerial level begins in Amman, on Sunday, chaired by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and his Syrian counterpart Asaad Al-Shibani, with the participation of ministerial delegations representing 20 sectors.
The two ministers will hold a press conference at 3 PM.
Earlier, Safadi signed a memorandum of understanding with Al-Shibani between the government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and the government of the Syrian Arab Republic to establish and activate the Supreme Coordination Council, which the two countries agreed to establish during Safadi's visit to Damascus on April 17, 2025, and his meeting with Minister Al-Shibani.
The Council held its first session in May 2025 in Damascus, chaired by Safadi and Al-Shibani, with the membership of ministers of Water and Irrigation, Industry, Trade and Supply, Energy and Mineral Resources, and Transport from the Jordanian side, and their Syrian counterparts the ministers of Economy and Industry, Energy, and Transport.
