Khaberni - Reports indicated that the latest beta version of Windows 11 has removed the Copilot logo from key locations, such as the Notepad app that was assisting in creative writing.
It included options for writing from scratch with guidelines, rewriting, and style change, and in the latest update, the Copilot language disappeared from the Notepad program, and the feature was renamed to "Writing Tools".
Quiet Retreat
The Copilot trademark also vanished from the Notepad settings, and the AI tools were moved to the advanced features section.
This change follows reports that Microsoft is quietly backing away from integrating Copilot in many parts of the Windows 11 operating system.
End of the Copilot Era
Currently, these changes in Copilot are only available in the beta version of Windows 11. When running the regular version of the Notepad, Copilot was still present.
If one is not subscribed to the beta versions of Windows updates, users will have to wait until these changes are activated.
