Arsenal managed to get back into the game at the 35th minute after earning a penalty, executed powerfully by Victor Giukeris to the right of the goalkeeper, netting the ball and drawing the home team level.
At the 74th minute, Arsenal suffered a painful blow when Alex Scott scored the second goal for Bournemouth with a strong shot from inside the penalty area that settled to the right of goalkeeper David Raya, giving his team the lead again and sealing the match in favor of the visitors.
With this loss, Arsenal's points froze at 70 at the top of the English Premier League table, after playing 32 matches. On the other hand, Bournemouth increased its tally to 45 points, moving up to ninth place in the standings.
With this result, Bournemouth has given a valuable gift to Manchester City, who are in second place with 61 points from 30 games, reigniting the title race and giving City a golden opportunity to reduce the gap with the leader.
