With heartfelt words Liverpools captain sends a farewell message to Salah and Robertson

Khaberni - The Dutchman Virgil van Dijk, captain of Liverpool, sends a touching farewell message to his teammates Mohamed Salah and Andy Robertson following the confirmation of their departure from the squad at the end of the current season.
Robertson had announced last Thursday his departure from "Anfield" at the end of the season, weeks after Salah announced his intention to leave a year before his contract ends after a season where he did not perform at the usual level.

van Dijk, captain of Liverpool, wrote on his social media: "Nine years were not just a phase but an entire era in every sense of the word, and what we experienced during it was extraordinary by all standards."

He added: "We know that every story has an end, but what you both offered during moments of success, pressure, and major matches will remain etched in memory, as you were always present in all situations."

He continued: "We achieved all the titles together, but more importantly are the memories, battles, and moments that united us, whether in victories or even in the toughest defeats."
He concluded: "We always knew that we could rely on each other, you were not just colleagues, but leaders and brothers both on and off the field."

Liverpool's captain concluded his message saying: "Thank you both for all you have given in effort and commitment and for the memories that will remain immortal. You came as colleagues and leave as legends, and most importantly, you will always remain a part of the Liverpool family."

Turkish media reports revealed strong moves by the management of Galatasaray to sign the Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, and the Dutch defender Virgil van Dijk during the upcoming summer transfer window in a move described as potentially one of the most prominent European football deals if completed.
