Khaberni - The Iranian delegation, led by Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, has arrived in Pakistan to hold negotiations with the American delegation regarding stopping the war and opening the Strait of Hormuz.
Before the delegation's plane landed in Pakistan, Ghalibaf posted a picture on his "X" platform account showing him reflecting on 4 personal photos of children killed in an American missile strike on a school, with each picture placed on a seat in the airplane next to a backpack and a flower.
An initial investigation by the U.S. Army into the strike indicated that outdated intelligence information likely led to the bombing of the school carried out on February 28, which was the first day of the war between Iran on one side and America and Israel on the other, resulting in the deaths of more than 165 people, many of them children.
The Iranian delegation, led by Ghalibaf, will meet this afternoon with Shahbaz Sharif, the Prime Minister of Pakistan. If the Americans accept the Iranian delegation's preconditions, negotiations will begin tomorrow afternoon at the Serena Hotel in Islamabad.
The "Tasnim" agency reported that the Iranian negotiating delegation includes, in addition to the main negotiators, technical and advisory committees to provide necessary advice, due to the complexity and sensitivity of the negotiations between Iran and America.
Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf heads the Iranian delegation, which also includes Abbas Araqchi the Foreign Minister, Abdolnaser Hemmati the Central Bank governor, and Ali Akbar Ahmadian a member of the National Defense Council.
The delegation also includes Kazem Gharibabadi the Deputy Foreign Minister, Ismail Baghaei the spokesperson for the Foreign Ministry, Ali Bagheri Kani the Deputy for Foreign Affairs of the Supreme National Security Council, and Seyyed Mahmoud Nabavian a member of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, and Abolfazl Amouei the Assistant for International Affairs to the Assembly Speaker, as well as Mehdi Mohammadi the strategic advisor to the Assembly Speaker.
The Iranian delegation participating in these negotiations comprises 71 individuals, including the main negotiating team, technical teams, media personnel, and the usual groups for protocols and protection.
