Former Egyptian Minister Egypt is not joking about the Gulf

Khaberni - Dr. Ali El Din Hilal, the former Egyptian political thinker and Minister of Youth and Sports, stated that the Egyptian statements about the linkage of the Gulf's security with Egypt "are not a joke", but reflect established facts.
He mentioned in a television interview on the "Sada El Balad" channel, on Friday, the statements of the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, which emphasize that the security of the Gulf is an integral part of Egyptian national security and vice versa.
The political thinker pointed out that "times of crisis may witness the emergence of some angry opinions or attempts to sow discord"; however, wisdom requires overcoming these issues, stressing that "when the truths emerge and the dust settles, the Egyptian stance will be appreciated and respected for its wisdom and role in ending the war."

He added that ending the war is the real key to achieving security in the region. In this regard, he noted what was published by the American website "Axios" that the Egyptian role was crucial in the ceasefire in Gaza and Iran, and the pivotal role Cairo played behind the scenes in bridging views between the United States and Iran.

He pointed out that "Egypt does not talk much about its role" unlike other countries that rush to issue statements, adding that Egypt, based on its extensive diplomatic and political experience, realizes that announcing details of telephone calls or specific decisions could "harm the process or disrupt it more than facilitate it."

He emphasized that Egypt "does not seek a role or a spotlight", and that it "has had enough roles" and has historically achieved enough for everyone to acknowledge this, adding that Egypt's main goal is to maintain stability and security in the entire Arab homeland.
