Khaberni - Members, leaders, and deputies of the Jordanian National Union Party participated today, Friday, in the massive solidarity march in support of the Jordanian position rejecting what is known as the law of executing prisoners, denouncing the repeated attacks on the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque and Islamic and Christian holy sites, affirming that this participation reflects the steadfastness of the Jordanian national stance and its full alignment with the justice of the Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
The party confirmed that their broad participation in the march aligns with the free Jordanian street’s pulse, and a rejection of all the occupation's attempts to impose more crimes and racist legislation targeting the Palestinian people, whether on their land, in their captivity, or at their holy sites, emphasizing that what is called the law of executing prisoners represents a dangerous escalation and a moral, political, and legal degradation that reveals the true face of the occupation and its oppressive, brutal, and organized terrorism policies.
In a speech delivered by deputy Suleiman Al-Saud on behalf of the National Union Party and the Parliamentary Committee for Palestine, he affirmed that the Knesset's voting on this law is not just a transitory legislative act, but a profound collapse of the entire occupation system, clearly revealing the nature of this entity built on hatred and racism and an attempt to legalize killing under the cover of the law.
Al-Saud said that this criminal legislation does not only target Palestinian prisoners, but also targets the will of the entire Palestinian people, and tries to establish a new phase of the systematic elimination of the Palestinian people, after many years of detention, torture, starvation, isolation, and ongoing violations inside the prisons of the occupation.
He emphasized that the Palestinians prisoners are not mere numbers or security files, but are a symbol of national dignity, a voice of living resilience, and a perpetual witness to the justice of the Palestinian cause and the brutality of the jailor, stressing that any harm to them is an assault on the entire Palestinian people, an attack on the conscience of the nation, and a provocation to everyone who believes in justice, dignity, and human rights.
Al-Saud added that the occupation deludes itself if it thinks that gallows can provide it security, deludes itself if it believes that unjust laws could grant it legitimacy, and deludes itself if it bets on breaking the will of a people who have made enough sacrifices to teach the world the meaning of steadfastness and resilience, emphasizing that Palestine will remain the central issue for Jordanians and the free people everywhere.
He also emphasized in his speech that Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, firmly stands in the trench of truth, upholding a proud and strong position in defense of Palestine, Jerusalem, and the Islamic and Christian holy sites, pointing out that the Jordanian position, led by the Hashemite leadership, has always been a symbol of Arab dignity, and a constant voice against the attempts of Judaization and the liquidation of Palestinian rights.
He clarified that the Hashemite custodianship over the Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem represents a major historical, national, and religious trust, and that targeting the Palestinian people, the Palestinian prisoner, and Jerusalem is a direct assault on the principles defended by Jordan and the values upon which its national and regional stances are based.
The party confirmed that this law represents a complete political, legal, and moral crime, and that everyone who drafted, passed, or defended it bears full responsibility for its repercussions and outcomes, considering that international silence towards this level of racist legislation is no longer acceptable, and can only be interpreted as a serious inability in the face of the occupation's aggression and excesses.
The party called for a genuine Arab and international stand, clear and firm, that holds the occupation accountable, exposes its racist practices, confronts its criminal legislation, and affirms that Palestinian blood is not cheap, that the Palestinian prisoner is not alone in facing the oppression machine, and that the nation cannot stand idly by in the face of this dangerous decline.
During the march, participants raised slogans confirming that there is no security or stability in the region without a just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian cause, in a scene that embodied the unity of the popular, party, and national Jordanian stance, and solidified a clear message that Jordan will remain steadfast in its support for Palestine, and in its rejection of all the occupation's projects, aggression, and invalid legislation.
In conclusion of the event, the National Union Party reiterated that the issue of prisoners will remain present in the national and regional conscience, and that Jerusalem will remain a symbol of the right, and Palestine the compass that does not deviate, no matter how intense the pressures and however long the night of the occupation lasts.
