69 Hotel Occupancy Rate in Aqaba During the Weekend

Khaberni - Dr. Thabet Al-Nabulsi, the Commissioner for Tourism and Youth Affairs at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority, confirmed that the city of Aqaba registered a hotel occupancy rate of about 69% during the weekend, an indicator reflecting the stability of tourist activity in the city and the continued arrival of visitors.

Al-Nabulsi stated that the occupancy rate for five-star hotels reached 75%, while four-star hotels recorded 63%, and three-star hotels 68%, reflecting a balanced distribution of bookings across different accommodation categories. He pointed out that these indicators reflect the stability of the tourism sector in Aqaba and its ability to attract visitors from inside and outside the kingdom, as the city continues to establish its position as a major tourist destination throughout the year.

Al-Nabulsi mentioned that the “Spirit Reviving” campaign launched by the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority contributed to revitalizing tourism and enhancing the city's attractiveness, by showcasing Aqaba’s tourism, natural, and heritage attributes.

He also confirmed that the authority continues to support promotional initiatives and programs that contribute to stimulating domestic tourism and encouraging Jordanian families to visit Aqaba and enjoy its diverse tourism experiences, affirming that the current indicators reflect a positive stability in the tourism sector.
