Khaberni - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar decided to exclude Spain from participating in the civilian-military coordination center in Kiryat Gat, headquartered in central Tel Aviv, which was established as part of President Trump's peace plan for Gaza.
An Israeli Foreign Ministry statement said the decision was made "in light of what it called the Spanish government's obsession against Israel under the leadership of Pedro Sánchez and the severe damage it causes to Israel's interests (as well as the United States), including during the war against Iran."
Foreign Minister Sa'ar said: "The Sánchez government shows a blatant bias against Israel, which has lost it the capacity to be an effective actor in implementing President Trump's peace plan, and in the coordination center operating within this plan."
The Foreign Ministry added that Spain was notified, and the United States had been informed beforehand.
Last week, the Spanish Defense Minister announced that Madrid has closed its airspace to American aircraft participating in raids on Iran.
President Donald Trump was enraged by the ban on the use of U.S. military bases and threatened to sever trade relations with Madrid.
