Khaberni - Former Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh said on Thursday that His Majesty King Abdullah II’s speech during his meeting with a number of former prime ministers and officials, that Jordan is fine and will remain fine, carries a message that reassures everyone.

Judeh added in his speech to "Al-Mamlaka" that the solidarity among Jordanians is a source of pride.

He pointed out the importance of focusing on the economy and specifically the tourism sector, especially if the ceasefire (Iran war) continues and becomes permanent.

Judeh confirmed that the meeting with His Majesty the King was frank and direct, diagnosing matters precisely as required, discussing scenarios and solutions.

Judeh noted that His Majesty the King’s statements carried messages of great importance, directed both domestically and internationally, to everyone following Jordanian affairs. When His Majesty confirms that Jordan is fine, thank God, and will continue to be, it is a clear message that reassures everyone, refutes any doubt, and imparts tranquility to all Jordanians.

Judeh explained that His Majesty’s talks about policies, as being aimed at serving Jordan and Jordanians first and foremost, carry clear content and a direct message affirming the steadfastness of the national approach based on prioritizing the state's supreme interest.

Judeh emphasized that the Jordanian stance, as affirmed by the royal messages, is firm and clear, based on supporting the brethren, primarily the Palestinian people, in the face of ongoing violations.

His Majesty King Abdullah II, on Wednesday, held a meeting with a number of former prime ministers and officials, focusing on the most prominent regional developments and the measures taken by state agencies to deal with the consequences of the war.

His Majesty confirmed during the meeting held at Al-Husseiniya Palace in the presence of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein bin Abdullah II, the Crown Prince, that Jordan is fine and will remain fine, noting the continued protection of the kingdom by the Jordanian Armed Forces – the Arab Army from any threat.

His Majesty added, "I am fully confident in our security services, and the welfare of Jordan and Jordanians is our foremost and ultimate goal."

His Majesty also highlighted the importance of continuing cooperation and coordination between state agencies to ensure readiness to handle developments and their economic implications, ensuring a sustainable, safe, and strategic reserve of basic materials.

His Majesty also affirmed that Jordan's position against the war had been clear from the start, and that the kingdom had exerted all possible efforts to calm the situation and prevent the war.

His Majesty renewed his condemnation of the unjustified Iranian assaults on Jordan and the Gulf countries, affirming that the security of the Gulf nations is fundamental to the security and stability of the region and the world.

His Majesty welcomed the announcement of reaching a ceasefire between the United States and Iran as a positive step towards de-escalation in the region, affirming Jordan's support for the efforts made by Pakistan to reach a permanent agreement addressing all the issues that had destabilized the region.

His Majesty stressed the necessity of opening the Strait of Hormuz, and ensuring international navigation freedom according to international law.

His Majesty also warned that Israel had again exploited the conditions in the region to escalate the conflict, emphasizing that Jordan continues to remind the international community of the need to focus on the West Bank, Jerusalem, and Gaza.

His Majesty warned of the danger of developments in the West Bank and Jerusalem, emphasizing the importance of launching an international effort to halt Israeli plans to annex parts of the West Bank or alter the existing historical and legal status in Jerusalem and its holy sites.

His Majesty also emphasized the need to stop Israeli aggression against Lebanon, and support the efforts of the Lebanese government to maintain Lebanon's security, stability, and sovereignty.
