Khaberni - The family of the artist Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra broke their silence to put an end to a series of rumors and misinformation, revealing a high-level official intervention and decisive medical decisions taken by the family in the last hours.
The family of Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra categorically denied the rumors that he had entered a complete coma or lost the ability to recognize his relatives.
Ahmed Abu Zahra expressed his displeasure with the rumors targeting his father in exclusive statements to "Erem News", saying: "What is circulated about Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra's full unconsciousness is completely untrue.. We urge everyone to be accurate and not to distort medical reports, as we do not know the source of these claims and rumors that cause concern without justification."
The health crisis of the Egyptian artist recently saw an official development after Ahmed Abu Zahra, the artist's son, communicated with Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, the Egyptian Minister of Health.
The minister's rapid response resulted in the transfer of the artist from the previous hospital to another ministry-affiliated hospital, to provide a special intensive care room to ensure the highest degree of privacy, protect the artist from infection risks due to the presence of other cases in shared rooms, and provide meticulous and continuous medical monitoring around the clock.
On their part, the family refused any surgical intervention or "exploratory endoscopy" on the lung, despite doctors recommending it after discovering an abnormal body in the radiography following a fainting incident two weeks ago.
The family's refusal was due to Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra's advanced age, which makes full anesthesia a major risk to his life, in addition to the stabilization of his health condition after it had deteriorated.
The artist's son reassured the public that his father's health condition is stable, explaining that the pulse, blood pressure, sugar, and kidney and liver functions are working normally, but the fluctuating oxygen levels require the use of a breathing mask continuously, and described the level of awareness as unstable, showing slight response for seconds when hearing his family's voices only.
Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra's condition remains under medical care, amid hopes from his fans and lovers that he will overcome this illness without the need for artificial breathing devices.
