Khaberni - The Greater Amman Municipality is installing a metal pedestrian bridge on King Abdullah II Street as part of its infrastructure improvement plan.
The Director of the Construction Department in the municipality, engineer Hani Al-Marashdeh, said that the pedestrian bridge will be installed on King Abdullah II Street, in the segment from Khalda roundabout to Aisha Mosque, as part of the municipality's plans for developing infrastructure and enhancing public safety for road users, reducing traffic accidents, and securing safe crossing for pedestrians.
The Director of the Traffic Operations Department, engineer Shadi Al-Rawabdeh, indicated that the execution of the work requires a complete closure of the street lanes at the work site, to preserve public safety and smooth execution, necessitating the following temporary traffic diversions:
For traffic coming from Khalda roundabout towards Sweileh
Traffic will be diverted right towards Ghaleb Walid Ali Street, then turn left to Said Al Malik Bino Street, from there left towards Ayed Rashid Al-Sukar Street, reaching King Abdullah II Street, and then right towards Sweileh via Habiba Al Fahri Street.
For traffic coming from Sweileh towards Khalda roundabout
The direction will be right towards Prince Ghazi signal, then turn left to Malik Bin Asma' Street, and from there left to Nimr Al-Eriqat Street, reaching King Abdullah II Street towards Khalda roundabout.
Al-Rawabdeh pointed out that these diversions will be implemented starting from twelve midnight until eight in the morning, and for one day only.
The Greater Amman Municipality urges citizens and drivers to adhere to the traffic guidelines and instructions issued by the traffic management staff, and to follow the warning signs placed at the site, to ensure their safety and the smooth flow of traffic
