Iran Identifies Alternative Navigational Routes in the Strait of Hormuz

Khaberni  - The Iranian "Mehr" agency reported that the naval forces of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard announced the identification of alternative navigational routes in the Strait of Hormuz to avoid sea mines.

Earlier, the Iranian Ports Authority urged ships wishing to cross the Strait of Hormuz to coordinate their routes with the Iranian Navy due to the presence of mines in the waters of the region.

Prior to this, the "Fars" news agency reported that the Iranian authorities had closed the Strait of Hormuz to 99% of ships following Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

It is noted that Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, announced that three key clauses of the ceasefire with the United States had been violated before the negotiations began in Islamabad.

Ghalibaf stated in a statement published on the "X" platform on Wednesday evening, "The deep historical mistrust, repeatedly breached by the United States through its repeated violations of all forms of obligations, is a pattern that unfortunately repeated again."

He added that after these breaches, a ceasefire or bilateral negotiations are unreasonable.

He mentioned that the three violated clauses in the agreement are "bombing Lebanon," "violating Iranian airspace," and "denial of the right to enrich."

On the night of April 8th, President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Iran for a two-week ceasefire.

Later, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, through which about 20% of the world's oil supplies, petroleum products, and liquefied natural gas pass.
