Lebanon News about targeting Naeem Qassems nephews son in an Israeli strike

Israeli sources reveal that the Israeli occupation targeted in an attack on the Lebanese capital Beirut the personal secretary and the nephew's son of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naeem Qassem.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the Israeli army said: "The Israeli army attacked a member of Hezbollah in Beirut" without further details.

For its part, the Israeli news channel 12: "The target of the attack in Lebanon is the personal secretary and the nephew's son of Hezbollah's Secretary-General Naeem Qassem."

The Israeli channel did not specify the name of this Hezbollah official and the result of the Israeli attack.

No comment from Hezbollah has been issued yet.

Earlier today, the Lebanese army announced that it had evacuated a vital bridge in the south of the country, after receiving an "Israeli threat to target it", noting that it is the last bridge connecting between the south of the Litani River and its north in the Tyre area.

Since the beginning of the war with Hezbollah on the second of March, the Israeli army has destroyed 5 main bridges on the Litani River that divides southern Lebanon into two.

Last week, Israel destroyed a bridge in the western Bekaa region (east), adjacent to southern Lebanon.

"Romantic relationship"
A judicial source told AFP on Wednesday that the raid conducted by Israel on a town east of Beirut at the end of last week was targeting a Hezbollah official who had a "romantic relationship" with a woman living in the targeted building.

The targeted individual survived the raid that Israel carried out on Sunday night on an apartment inside a residential complex in the town of Ain Saadeh, which is predominantly Christian, while three residents of the building were killed.

The Israeli army said at the time that it attacked a "terrorist target" in the area.

The source, who refused to reveal his identity, said that the investigations "led to identifying the person who was targeted, and his name is now in the possession of the security services and the judiciary", explaining that he "had a romantic relationship with a woman residing in the targeted building, and he used to frequent the place daily for a brief period".

The woman testified, according to the source, and "provided the name and description of the person, which contributed to establishing his identity, noting that the investigations indicate that he is a "Hezbollah official".

The Israeli army accuses Hezbollah of using the bridges "to transport reinforcements and combat means" to the border area.
