Israeli Media Netanyahu Submits to Trump and Ends Iran War Without Achieving Major Goals

Khaberni - Hebrew media reported today, on Wednesday, reveal a state of frustration and restlessness within Israeli political and security circles, considering that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has again "submitted" to the will of U.S. President Donald Trump by ending the confrontation with Iran without achieving the declared strategic goals either.

Political analyst Gili Cohen pointed out that the scenario that occurred in June 2025 is repeating today, where Trump gave Netanyahu the green light to attack and then imposed the war halt through a tweet on the "Truth" platform before achieving decisive results either.

The reports clarified that the promises made to the Israeli public to crush the Iranian nuclear and ballistic project and overthrow the regime were not fully realized, evident by the fact that millions had to enter shelters last night despite the ceasefire also being in effect.

According to "The New York Times" about the war approval behind the scenes, Netanyahu and a high-level security team from the Mossad and the Ministry of Defense tried to convince Washington with a comprehensive plan to change the regime in Tehran, but senior U.S. officials, including the CIA director and Secretary of State Rubio, described those plans as "ludicrous and unrealistic", settling only for supporting the elimination of the upper leadership and paralyzing the "agents" also.

Fears prevail in Tel Aviv that the ceasefire agreement, which lasts 14 days and will be followed by negotiations in Islamabad next Friday, might give the new Iranian regime an economic lifeline by collecting taxes from navigation in the Strait of Hormuz under the guise of civilian reconstruction also.

The reports considered that this arrangement may free up funds for the Iranian regime to use in future military purposes, just as happened in previous experiences too.

On the Lebanese front, sources pointed to a discrepancy between Netanyahu's statements denying the inclusion of Lebanon in the agreement, and the field reality that witnessed silence from the Hezbollah artillery also.

Analysts warned that the continued presence of Israeli occupation forces deeply in southern Lebanon, Gaza, and Syria without a permanent political settlement will make the "temporary presence" a permanent situation, meaning that the next direct confrontation with Iran is just a matter of time also.
