Khaberni - U.S. President Donald Trump said the United States will provide assistance regarding the accumulated navigation movement in Hormuz, noting that Iran can begin the reconstruction process.
Trump stated, "It's a great day for global peace, and Iran wishes to achieve that,” noting that "the arena will witness many positive movements and massive amounts of money will be made," adding: "This could be the golden age for the Middle East just as we are witnessing in the United States."
Trump continued, "We will store supplies of all kinds and remain vigilant nearby to ensure that things go smoothly, and the United States will help alleviate the congestion in the Strait of Hormuz."
Trump announced earlier today, Wednesday, that bombing and attack operations against Iran were suspended for two weeks.
Trump wrote on the social media platform "Truth Social": "Based on the conversations I had with Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and General Asim Munir, who asked me to withhold the destructive power scheduled to be sent to Iran tonight, and subject to the Islamic Republic of Iran's consent to a full, immediate, and safe opening of the Strait of Hormuz, I agree to suspend bombing and attack operations against Iran for two weeks."
He added: "This will be a mutual truce from both sides, and the reason behind this decision is that we have already achieved all our military objectives and exceeded them, and we have made significant progress towards finalizing an agreement for achieving long-lasting peace with Iran, and establishing peace in the Middle East region."
He continued: "We have received a ten-point proposal from the Iranian side, which we believe forms a practical basis that can be built upon in negotiations."
He noted that "there's almost an agreement between the United States and Iran on all previous points of dispute, however, the two-week period will provide the opportunity to finalize and complete the agreement."
He concluded stating: "As President of the United States of America, and also representing the countries of the Middle East region, it's an honor for me to see this long-standing problem now nearing a resolution."
