Khaberni - Pakistani Prime Minister Mohammad Shahbaz Sharif said on Tuesday that diplomatic efforts aimed at a peaceful settlement of the war currently underway in the Middle East are progressing steadily, strongly, and effectively, with the potential to lead to tangible results in the near future.
Sharif urgently requested President Trump to extend the deadline by two weeks, and also asked the Iranians to open the Strait of Hormuz for a similar period of two weeks as a gesture of good faith.
Sharif urged all warring parties to adhere to a ceasefire everywhere for two weeks to enable diplomacy to achieve an end to the war, with an eye towards long-term peace and stability in the region.
