Iran confirms its readiness for all scenarios after Trumps threats

Khaberni - Iran confirmed, on Tuesday, its readiness for "all scenarios" after the threats of US President Donald Trump.

On Tuesday, Trump threatened Iran with the destruction of "its entire civilization", just hours before the expiration of his ultimatum for Iran to agree to a peace deal, while his deputy, Jay De Vance, warned that the United States could use "new tools" in the war.

Trump wrote on his platform "Truth Social", "An entire civilization will die tonight, and it will never return. I don't want this, but it is likely to happen. Who knows?".

He described this moment as "one of the most important moments in the long and complicated history of the world", affirming that "47 years of blackmail, corruption, and death will finally end."

At the same time, the "Axios" site, citing an American official and an Israeli one, in addition to two other knowledgeable sources, mentioned that negotiations between the United States and Iran have made progress during the past 24 hours, however, reaching a ceasefire agreement before Trump’s deadline seems far-fetched.

An American official said that the thinking at the White House has shifted from wondering "Can we reach an agreement?" to "Can we reach an agreement by 8 PM?".

The American site indicated that failing to reach an agreement by the deadline, or at least not making enough progress to convince Trump to extend it, would lead to an unprecedented escalation in the war.

On Tuesday, the acting US Attorney General Todd Blanch stated that the department has provided advice to the White House, the Pentagon, and the State Department regarding Iran.

In the meantime, the "Wall Street Journal" reported that Iran has cut direct contact with the United States in response to US President Donald Trump's threats to "destroy the Iranian civilization".

The newspaper noted that the Iranian step had frozen efforts to reach an agreement before the deadline set by Trump, but it did not completely end the talks.

The newspaper added that communications between the two sides still continue through intermediaries, in an effort to reach a ceasefire.

Meanwhile, Tehran Times, a government newspaper, said that the Iranian diplomatic and indirect channels for talks with the United States "have not been closed".
