AlHunaiti Receives the Syrian Chief of Staff

Khaberni  - Major General Yousef Ahmed Al-Hunaiti, the head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, received today, Tuesday, at his office in the General Command, the head of the Syrian General Staff, Major General Ali Al-Nassan, and his accompanying delegation.

Major General Al-Hunaiti discussed with the visiting delegation ways to enhance joint military cooperation between the two brotherly countries, emphasizing the commitment of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to support the brethren in Syria, which enhances the historical relations between the two countries, and contributes to achieving security and stability.

Major General Al-Hunaiti referred to the readiness of the Jordanian Armed Forces to leverage their capabilities and capacities in various fields, serving the mutual interests and enhancing the national security of the brotherly countries.

For his part, Major General Al-Nassan expressed his appreciation for Jordan's supportive positions to Syria in facing challenges, praising the depth of the brotherly relations that link the two countries and the importance of developing them to achieve mutual interests.

During the meeting, a number of issues of mutual interest were discussed, and an emphasis was placed on continuing coordination and cooperation to face the challenges experienced by the region, especially in the fields of combating terrorism and drug smuggling.

A number of senior officers of the Jordanian Armed Forces attended the meeting.
