Multiple fractures and a lung puncture Thomson speed racing star survives death

The Danish speed racing star, Tobias Thomson (31 years old), suffered severe injuries due to a horrific collision that took place on Friday evening during the first round of his new team's race "Plymouth Gladiators" against his former team "Poole Pirates".

Thomson posted pictures from his hospital bed, revealing the extent of the physical damage he sustained. He wrote: "I sustained a thigh bone fracture, and a titanium rod was installed from my knee to my hip to stabilize it. I also suffer from three minor facial bone fractures around the eye, which fortunately do not require surgery. In addition, I suffered a fracture in three ribs and a puncture in the lung."

The matter did not stop there, as he also confirmed the occurrence of a head injury after the doctors informed him of a minor cerebral hemorrhage, which he described as "not serious".

Sportsmanship

Although the collision came from behind by his former teammate Richard Lawson, Thomson refused to hold him responsible, affirming that it is an occupational hazard.

He said, "I thought I was in full control at that time. But it's hard to avoid being hit from behind. This is a racing accident, and I hold no grudges against Lawson – I know this can happen."

For his part, Richard Lawson responded to his former teammate's post with touching words reflecting the magnitude of the shock.

"Oh my God, I feel very sad for you, I wish I had not been the other racer in this incident. I hope to see you in Denmark. I wish you a speedy recovery."

Determination to return to the track

Despite the series of fractures and bleeding that could end any athlete's career, the Danish racer showed a steely will to get back on his bike as soon as possible.

He said, "I will do my utmost to regain my fitness, and we will see where this leads me in the future. I want to race again because it makes me happy and feels alive."

The Plymouth Gladiators team issued a statement wishing their driver a speedy recovery, expressing their gratitude to the fans for their support messages and the money collected to help Thomson repair his bike and support his income during his lengthy recovery period.
