Khaberni- Reports issued by the German "Sky Sports" network revealed the intensification of the conflict between the giants of the "Old Continent" to sign the young Werder Bremen defender, Karim Koulibaly, who has become one of the most prominent emerging faces in the "Bundesliga" this season.
According to what journalists "Florian Plettenberg" and "Nico Dieter" reported, the list of clubs interested in signing the 18-year-old defender includes heavyweights such as Real Madrid, Manchester United, Chelsea, Newcastle, Paris Saint-Germain, and Napoli.
The report indicated that Chelsea has shown tangible interest in the German international defender (under 21), as contacts with the player’s environment have already begun.
A record figure looms on the horizon
Although Koulibaly's contract with Bremen extends until 2029 and does not include any release clause, his departure next summer is "planned at 100%".
According to "Sky", Clemens Fritz, the sporting director of Bremen, has set an amount ranging from 40 to 50 million euros to relinquish his services, which would make Koulibaly the most expensive sale in the club's history, breaking the record of the legend "Diego" who moved to Juventus for 27 million euros in 2009.
An exceptional talent despite the injury
Koulibaly has established himself as the youngest goal scorer in Werder Bremen's history in the Bundesliga, having participated in 22 games this season.
Despite his recent absence from the match against Leipzig due to muscle issues—and the match that Real Madrid scouts were supposed to observe him—he is racing against time to return in the upcoming Cologne match.
A Parisian dream
The report also mentioned that Koulibaly dreams of wearing the Paris Saint-Germain shirt one day, but the glut of defenders at the Parisian club might direct his next destination towards "the Premier League" or "La Liga", where currently "the Royals" and Chelsea are leading the scene.
