Google Fixes One of the Most Annoying Issues with the Play Store

Khaberni - Google has begun rolling out an update that addresses one of the most annoying issues with the Google Play app store, which is the difficulty of browsing app reviews due to their disorganization.

A new feature now allows users to directly access the comments that actually interest them. Google introduced this feature in the latest version of the Google Play store.

Instead of sifting through hundreds of comments, it is now possible to filter comments by typing specific terms and immediately displaying relevant experiences, according to a report by "Digital Trends," a site specializing in technology news, reviewed by "Al Arabiya Business".

Although this is a minor change, it addresses a real gap in trust regarding how applications are rated before being downloaded.

The update adds a search bar above the ratings section, allowing users to search for specific terms within user comments. When entering a quick query, the matching comments that mention those points or experiences exactly appear.

However, there are some downsides, as this feature relies on exact keyword matching, so the results depend heavily on the wording of the search query. If the wording doesn't match, important information may remain hidden.

Also, it does not display results when entering only one word, but requires at least two words to activate the search for matches. The system has not yet been able to understand the user's intent or similar phrasings, which limits its flexibility in actual use.

To partially rectify this, suggested queries beneath the search bar help guide users towards common issues.

Nevertheless, without a deeper understanding of the context, this feature still seems like an early version of what it could become.
