Khaberni - Former Liverpool FC football star Jamie Carragher spoke about the career of Egyptian star Mohamed Salah after his departure announcement from Liverpool at the end of the current 2025-2026 season.
Mohamed Salah is one of the most prominent players in the history of Liverpool FC, having decisively contributed to winning numerous titles, and will leave the "Anfield" field leaving behind a rich legacy of achievements and memories.
Carragher, in statements to the “Liverpool Echo” newspaper, said: "Salah has been an exceptional player from the start, and no one expected him to reach this high level with Liverpool".
He added: "He is one of the greatest players ever to wear the club's shirt, having spent nine full seasons here, and the real secret behind his success lies in his consistently amazing performance over the years."
Carragher continued: "What impresses me about him is that he plays in every match weekly without fail, I feel extreme pride when I look at his career, luck may play a role in avoiding injuries, but it is his constant desire to be present and participate that truly distinguishes him".
He affirmed: "For me, his value is not only in his high technical quality but in his daily commitment to the team and readiness to play every match. We have seen great players like Luis Suarez, Michael Owen, and Robbie Fowler before, and I am not saying that replacing Salah will be easy at all".
He cautiously optimistic about Liverpool's future: "We might need a right winger of a different style, focusing more on creating opportunities, and I do not think Liverpool needs to sign a big, costly star to replace him".
Jamie Carragher concluded his statements saying: "We brought in prominent stars last summer, but the results have not been entirely satisfactory so far, the key lies in choosing the right player for the right reasons".
It is noted that Mohamed Salah (33 years old) has not yet decided his next destination, amid speculations about the possibility of moving to the Saudi League or the American League, or continuing in Europe with another team.
