Khaberni - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud held talks today during which they affirmed Jordan and Saudi Arabia's absolute solidarity in facing the Iranian aggressions against the two countries and other brotherly Arab nations.
The ministers reiterated their condemnation of these attacks as a violation of international law and the principles of good neighborliness, and as an unjustified assault on the sovereignty of states. Both ministers affirmed solidarity in all actions taken by the countries and brotherly Arab nations to confront these aggressions within the framework of the right to self-defense under Article 51 of the United Nations Charter.
Safadi and Prince Faisal discussed prospects for ending the serious escalation currently witnessed in the region, and on foundations that ensure security, stability, respect for the sovereignty of states, and principles of good neighborliness, and ensure that the Iranian aggressions are not repeated.
The ministers emphasized during their talks at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, the continued cooperation between the two countries in various fields to enhance the strategic fraternal relations that unite the two kingdoms, and in execution of the directives from the leaderships of the two brotherly countries.
Safadi and Prince Faisal also discussed the situation in the West Bank and Gaza, where they emphasized the need to stabilize Gaza and remove all barriers to the entry of humanitarian aid.
Safadi and Prince Faisal stressed the need for regional and international efforts to halt the illegal Israeli actions that lead to further escalation and undermine the two-state solution and efforts to achieve a fair and comprehensive peace, especially concerning settlement building, expansions, land annexation, attacks on freedom of worship, and violations of the existing historical and legal status of Muslim and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem.
Safadi and Prince Faisal stressed the need to stop the Israeli aggression on Lebanon, adhere to the ceasefire agreement achieved on November 27, 2024, support the efforts of the Lebanese government to enforce its sovereignty over all its territories, activate its institutions, and confine arms to the state.
The ministers also affirmed their support for the efforts of the Syrian government to rebuild on foundations that guarantee Syria's security, stability, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the rights of all its citizens, and they renewed their condemnation of the Israeli attacks on Syrian territory and its occupation of more Syrian land.
The ministers emphasized the importance of the Jordanian-Syrian-American roadmap for resolving the crisis in Sweida and stabilizing southern Syria, which was announced on September 16, 2025.
Safadi and Prince Faisal affirmed the continuation of communication and coordination in efforts to restore security and stability in the region.
