According to "La Gazzetta dello," the name of the 26-year-old player has been frequently mentioned in the corridors of the Etihad Stadium, where Manchester City's management has renewed their interest in the Italian international.
They stated that the City has entered into fierce competition with Barcelona to sign the Juventus player, Andrea Cambiaso, during the upcoming summer transfer period, amid growing interest in his services across the European continent.
Barcelona is looking to strengthen the left-back position, in response to the vision of their German coach Hansi Flick, who aims to fortify the team's human composition with elements capable of providing technical value, especially at the wings.
