Iraqi militia Saraya Awliya AlDam targets Jordan with a drone

Khaberni -  An Iraqi militia calling itself "Saraya Awliya Al-Dam", has claimed responsibility for drone attacks targeting several countries in the region including Jordan.

In a notable escalation, a video recording showed the moment drones were launched from inside a civilian truck (trailer), targeting Kuwait, Jordan, and Syria.

The recording shows the drones being prepared and launched in sequence, amid clear implications of the capability to operate outside traditional frameworks.

"Saraya Awliya Al-Dam" is known as one of the groups that emerged since 2020 by claiming attacks against logistic support convoys within Iraq, before reappearing in the name in the 2021 Erbil attack, amid speculations of its association with larger factions like "Asa'ib Ahl al-Haq", "Kata'ib Sayyid al-Shuhada", and "Kata'ib Hezbollah", which makes it closer to a media facade within a wider network of armed factions.
Earlier, Jordan’s Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi confirmed that his country had been attacked by some factions, which prompted Amman to directly communicate with Baghdad to stop these attacks and prevent their recurrence.
Safadi said that Jordan is handling these developments wisely, and is not seeking escalation, while also emphasizing the need for the Iraqi government to take responsibility for controlling the armed factions that launch attacks from its territory targeting neighboring countries.
