Israel Announces Killing of Official at Oil Headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards

Khaberni - The Israeli military announced on Sunday that it had killed another senior commander in the "Oil Headquarters" of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards.

The military said that Mohammad Reza Ashrafi Kahi, responsible for commercial affairs within the "Oil Headquarters", was killed on Friday during airstrikes targeting the Tehran area, according to a statement from the Israeli military.

The statement added that the "Oil Headquarters" supports the activities of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and enhances their military capabilities, as well as the activities of their regional allies, including Hezbollah and the Houthis, through the profits generated from oil sales.

The Israeli military had announced a few days earlier that it had killed the commander of the "Oil Headquarters" of the Iranian armed forces, which plays a similar role to the headquarters of the Revolutionary Guards for the regular Iranian army.

The Israeli military described the killing of Kahi as "a significant additional blow to the economic foundations of the Iranian security apparatus."

Inside Israel, the military and the Israeli ambulance service reported on Sunday that an Iranian missile had hit a residential building in the northern city of Haifa, resulting in 4 injuries.

The Israeli military confirmed to Agence France-Presse that the building was hit by a "direct missile strike," noting that the missile that hit it was "Iranian."

In a separate statement, the Israeli ambulance service Magen David Adom reported that 4 people were injured as a result of a direct strike on a 7-story building.

The agency added that its teams provided treatment to an 82-year-old man, describing his condition as serious after he was injured by shrapnel, and he was transported to the hospital.

Three other people sustained minor injuries: two women (77 and 38 years old) and a 10-year-old child who was injured in the head, according to the ambulance service.
