Khaberni - "The Wall Street Journal" reported that the MC-130J aircraft participating in the rescue operation of the missing pilot, which were destroyed following a "malfunction", cost more than $100 million each.
These aircraft are designed to insert forces into enemy territory and then extract them, equipped with advanced sensors for defense against air defense system interceptions, and can be refueled in the air, according to the newspaper.
An American official said that the military destroyed two MC-130 aircraft during the rescue mission. The US officials did not specify the exact problems faced by the aircraft.
A spokesperson for the Iranian Armed Forces Command stated that field assessments showed the "downing" of two MC-130 aircraft and two Black Hawk helicopters south of Isfahan.
