Khaberni - A new advertising campaign for Lego has achieved widespread reach on social media platforms, after bringing together four of the world's top football stars.
The French network RMC reported that the ad, launched by the Danish company to promote a new football-inspired collection featuring Kylian Mbappe, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, and Vinicius Junior to promote the 2026 World Cup, has achieved record numbers, exceeding 400 million views on Instagram in just a few days, indicating the strength of the participating stars and the appeal of the idea which is based on transforming them into figures from the famous building toys.
It is explained that "the four stars appear in the ad around a table centered with a miniature version of the World Cup made of Lego pieces, in a humorous competitive scene where each player tries to place his figure at the top, before a child intervenes to resolve the scene symbolically, reflecting the spirit of the game and the passion of young fans."
Despite the stars appearing together in the ad, the behind-the-scenes footage revealed significant challenges, as each player was filmed separately due to their busy schedules before the scenes were merged through advanced production processes to produce this group image.
For his part, Mbappe expressed his joy in participating in the campaign, considering it an opportunity to inspire children and encourage them to be creative and achieve their dreams, while Vinicius highlighted the human aspect of the initiative, confirming that Lego toys were a part of his childhood, and that the campaign reflects the importance of imagination in children's lives.
The campaign, which comes months before the start of the 2026 World Cup, represents a smart marketing step combining the worlds of sports and entertainment, benefiting from the overwhelming popularity of the four stars, at a time when markets are preparing to launch new products associated with the global tournament.
