Khaberni - The Kuwait Petroleum Corporation announced on Sunday that the oil sector complex in the Shuwaikh area (which includes the corporation and the Ministry of Oil) was attacked by drones early this morning, resulting in a fire in the building.
The corporation stated in a release: "Emergency and firefighting teams immediately began dealing with the fire, and the building was completely evacuated in accordance with approved precautionary measures, thankfully recording no human injuries so far."
The corporation added that the leadership of the oil sector is continuing to assess the damages resulting from the incident, coordinating with the relevant authorities, and taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of the workers and secure the site.
This attack comes as the US-Israeli war on Iran continues for the thirty-seventh consecutive day, with ongoing exchanges of missile strikes and drones affecting several Gulf countries, including previous instances where Kuwait had announced intercepting drone attacks and ballistic missiles coming from Iran.
