Khaberni - Maria Zakharova, the spokesperson for the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on Saturday that the strikes targeting nuclear facilities in Iran constitute an indelible stain on the reputation of those who send these missiles.
Zakharova noted that these Iranian nuclear facilities are under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
In a comment published on the ministry's website following the new strikes targeting the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Zakharova said: "These illegal and reckless acts constitute an indelible stain on the international reputation of those who target the Bushehr nuclear power plant and other Iranian nuclear facilities under the safeguards of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and issue orders to destroy them."
The Iranian authorities earlier reported on Saturday that the Bushehr nuclear plant was targeted for the fourth time, resulting in one death, material damage, and warnings of a regional disaster.
Russia began evacuating 198 workers from the Bushehr plant, which had earlier been hit by a new US-Israeli strike, according to Russian media.
Following the aforementioned attack, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, called for the highest degrees of military restraint to avoid the risk of a nuclear accident.
The Iranian Atomic Energy Organization had previously reported three incidents of shellfire in the vicinity of the Bushehr nuclear plant, on March 17, 24, and 27. Earlier, Alexey Likhachev, the general manager of Rosatom, the Russian atomic energy corporation, stated that the situation in the Bushehr plant area continues to deteriorate.
