Report Mediation Efforts Between America and Iran Reach Deadlock

Khaberni - The Wall Street Journal reported on Friday that current mediation efforts led by countries in the region, including Pakistan, to achieve a ceasefire between the United States and Iran have reached a deadlock.

The newspaper added that Iran has formally informed mediators that it is not prepared to meet with U.S. officials in Islamabad in the coming days, and considers the American demands unacceptable.

The newspaper quoted mediators as saying that Turkey and Egypt are still pushing to find a way forward and are exploring new venues for talks, including the Qatari capital Doha or Istanbul, along with new proposals to overcome the deadlock.
