Khaberni - Artificial intelligence predictions indicate that one of the European teams is the closest to winning the 2026 World Cup title.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico with the participation of 48 teams for the first time, during the period between June 11 and July 19 of the coming year.
The "Opta" statistics platform published its predictions for the teams likely to win this year's global title, which it arrived at using artificial intelligence.
The prediction process is carried out by feeding a "supercomputer" with club data, to predict their results through thousands of simulations of the scenarios that await them until the final match.
According to what "Opta" published after the qualifiers were completed, the Spanish team leads the list of candidates to win the title with a 15.83% chance, followed by its French counterpart (12.77%).
Following them are both the English team and Argentina (the reigning champion) each with a 10% chance.
The Portuguese team occupies the fifth position with a chance of 6.92%.
