Jordan Petroleum Refinery We Contracted 4 Shipments in April

Khaberni - The Jordan Petroleum Refinery Company confirmed on Thursday that there is no shortage of domestic gas quantities in Jordan, according to the spokesperson, Haider Al-Bashaireh.

Al-Bashaireh emphasized, to "Al-Mamlaka", during a field tour of Abu Alanda station, that there is a sufficient strategic stockpile to meet the increasing demand for domestic gas.

Al-Bashaireh explained that this significant increase in demand has not affected the availability of the material, assuring that the Jordan Petroleum Refinery has sufficient quantities of gas at various sites, including Abu Alanda station, the on-site gas station, and Irbid station, as well as its depots in Aqaba.

He noted that Wednesday witnessed the arrival of a ship at Aqaba port loaded with 12,000 tons of liquefied gas, stating that 4 additional shipments, each weighing about 16,000 tons, were contracted during April and will arrive according to the agreed schedules.

Al-Bashaireh called for ignoring rumors circulated on social media and relying on information issued by competent authorities, assuring that the stockpile is secure, sufficient, and there is no need for panic or worry.

Regarding supply sources, he clarified that the gas imported into the kingdom comes from Saudi Aramco via Yanbu port and not through the Strait of Hormuz, which enhances supply stability and distances the kingdom from any geopolitical effects associated with the strait.

He pointed out that part of the local production supplements the available quantities, indicating that the filling operations are performed with high efficiency. The company owns 8 production lines distributed across filling stations, with 4 lines each at the Irbid site and the Zarqa site stations.

He confirmed that any cylinder arriving at the stations is filled on the same day without delay.

Al-Bashaireh also confirmed that the Jordan Petroleum Refinery operates according to clear plans and strategies to ensure the continuous availability of gas, and that all shipments arrive according to the time schedules agreed upon with the supplying bodies, ensuring market stability and meeting the needs of citizens in various provinces of the kingdom.
