Khaberni - The College of Media at the Middle East University held a qualitative meeting with its new students, focused on redefining the role of media professionals as influential, responsible, and ethical actors.
During the meeting, the Dean of the College, Dr. Ramez Abu Haseera, along with the faculty members, presented the contents of the specializations offered by the College, emphasizing the integration of theoretical and practical aspects, and the mechanisms for honing professional skills within contexts that mimic the media reality, especially in light of the rapid transformations witnessed by digital media and modern communication platforms.
The meeting emphasized the necessity of developing a conscious media professional who possesses analytical tools and critical thinking skills, is experienced in the tools of the profession, and is capable of producing content characterized by responsibility and credibility, away from superficiality or succumbing to sensationalism, and that this will be achieved through practical experiences in the college’s cinematic, television, and radio studios, and its technical laboratories equipped with the latest technologies.
The meeting also saw the attendance of the Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Hazem Al-Nasur, who reviewed the system of opportunities provided by the Dean’s Office, as an lever for the educational process, through empowerment programs, extracurricular activities, and professional and personal development pathways that contribute to building a comprehensive media personality.
