Some posts falsely claimed that he was placed on life support, which pushed his name to the top of search engines and sparked a wave of speculation.
This rumor comes at a time when the artist is undergoing a therapeutic phase after a delicate surgery to remove part of his colon, which has increased the sensitivity of the situation and raised fears among his fans in Egypt and the Arab world.
The Syndicate denies and calls for accuracy
On the other hand, the Egyptian Musicians Syndicate has denied the rumors, confirming in statements to local media that there is no information indicating that the artist is on life support.
Artist Nadia Mustafa, a board member of the Syndicate, stated that Hany Shaker's wife prefers not to disclose details at this time in order to maintain his privacy, noting that his wife Nahla Tawfiq is the only one by his side and is the primary source of information about his health condition.
Media personality Soheir Jouda, through her Facebook account, assured that the artist is in a stable condition, emphasizing the inaccuracy of the rumors about him facing a severe health crisis, and she called for accuracy in conveying information.
Gradual improvement and continuous monitoring
Mustafa Kamel, the head of the Musicians Syndicate, announced a few days ago that Hany Shaker's health is improving, noting that he has left the intensive care unit and started physical therapy, following communication with his family.
Mustafa Kamel confirmed that the Syndicate is continuously monitoring his condition, hoping for his soon return to Egypt and the resumption of his artistic activities. Additionally, the Council strongly denies rumors of his death, urging not to follow rumors that cause psychological harm to the artist's family and fans.
Travel to France and continuation of treatment
The Syndicate also revealed earlier that he would travel to undergo a period of treatment in France.
Nadia Mustafa relayed his wife's thanks to the Minister of Health and the medical team who successfully performed the surgery, denying rumors of negligence in his treatment within Egypt.
It should be noted that the controversy escalated after condolence posts were shared by official accounts of producer Mohsen Jaber and chant singer Mahmoud El-Tohamy, before being deleted once the news was verified as false, prompting an official clarification to contain the confusion.
