Khaberni - Housing Bank announced the continuation of its support for the programs of the Arab Society for Nature Protection by providing its diamond sponsorship for the "Green Caravan" program for the sixth consecutive year. It also expanded its support to include a package of new developmental and environmental projects for 2026, aimed at enhancing food security and economic empowerment in less fortunate areas.
This sponsorship aligns with the objectives of the bank's corporate social responsibility program "Imkan Housing" within the environment and social empowerment sectors. The bank is keen on enhancing the role of civil society organizations that focus on environmental conservation and those that concentrate on improving the capabilities of individuals in remote areas to access sustainable livelihoods, directly contributing to increasing the green cover, empowering families, and providing employment opportunities and sources of livelihood for farmers.
Support for 2026 includes contributions to four main programs; the bank continued to support the "Green Caravan" program to empower small farmers by providing them with fruit trees, supported the "Green Irrigation" project to install solar-powered water pumping systems, which significantly reduces irrigation costs and increases the net annual income for families. The collaboration has also supported the "Productive Apiaries" project for several rural families by providing them with bee hives, harvesting tools, and training programs for honey production, in addition to supporting the "Productive Livelihoods" project to establish model poultry farms, providing feed and technical supervision, with the goal of achieving self-sufficiency and household economic empowerment for the beneficiary families.
The expansion of the bank's partnership with the Arab Society for Nature Protection stems from the belief in the "Imkan Housing" program's vision aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of agriculture as a civilizational cornerstone, and supporting less fortunate communities through initiatives that have a tangible impact on reducing poverty and unemployment and ensuring resource sustainability for future generations, embodying the bank's message in building a green future and a productive society.
