Khaberni - The Jordanian Youth Council held today, Monday, the National Forum for Youth Production and Employment at the Hussein Cultural Center and the Ras Al Ain Galleria of the Greater Amman Municipality, sponsored by the Minister of Industry, Trade and Supply, Engineer Yarub Al-Qudah, represented by the Companies Control General Manager, Dr. Wael Al-Armouti, and with the wide participation of more than 1100 young men and women, alongside the presence of Her Excellency Mrs. Yasera Ghosheh.
The forum, which was organized by the Jordanian Youth Council in partnership with the Ambassadors of Life Company for Community Development and platinum sponsorship from UWallet, saw notable attendance from representatives of the public and private sectors, and experts in economics and entrepreneurship fields, in addition to those interested in youth empowerment and employment topics.
The forum commenced with a series of panel discussions, where six specialized sessions were held with the participation of nine guests from experienced professionals, addressing pivotal issues including the reality of the national economy, prospects of entrepreneurship, ways to economically empower youth, as well as mechanisms for supporting the establishment of small and medium enterprises and enhancing the innovation environment.
The sessions, which were managed in an interactive manner, discussed the challenges facing youth in the labor market, the opportunities available amidst economic and digital transformations, presenting models and practical experiences from entrepreneurs and startups, which contributes to knowledge transfer and enhancing the culture of initiation among participants.
In a related context, an exhibition was held on the sidelines of the forum for youth projects and major participating companies, where a variety of entrepreneurial initiatives displayed their products and services, while delegations and honorary guests conducted field tours inside the exhibition booths, viewing the showcased experiences and interacting directly with the participants, in a step aimed at enhancing networking and opening cooperation prospects.
The president of the Jordanian Youth Council, Suleiman Arabi Alsakkar, stated that the forum constitutes an advanced national platform to support economic empowerment of youth, pointing out that “economically empowering young people is no longer an option, but a national necessity imposed by the requirements of the stage, and this forum translates this vision into real spaces that allow youth to access opportunities and develop their ideas into productive projects.” He added that “the forum contributes to creating a supportive environment for entrepreneurship and innovation, by bringing decision-makers together with youth in direct dialogue, enhancing the chances of transforming challenges into projects capable of growth and sustainability.”
Alsakkar also mentioned that the Jordanian Youth Council continues to launch distinctive initiatives aimed at enhancing young people's efficiency and their participation in economic development, in cooperation with various partners from the public and private sectors.
The activities of the forum concluded with the honoring of participating companies, productive families, and members of the organizing high committee, in recognition of their efforts in making the event successful, amid affirmations on the importance of building on the forum's outcomes to develop practical programs that contribute to supporting the national economy and enhancing the role of youth as an active force in the development journey.
